Everyday when i and my team have tea after a long day of news it was pretty relaxing. Since few days our Bureau Chief is joining us in this exercise anbd today we had a discussion on Journalism and its Pay Package.
It was astonishing that apart from flaunting their family's good pay and their comparatively less ones, they still want to continue with it and make a career out of it. Although they, in personal minutes, say that now the time has come for a nine to five job.
NO, i am not writing Confused Journalism 2.0. But it is a paradox of every journalist.
To live a life of Dignity with less money working day and night, and asked to expect less... is a life a journalist .
Dio you know when Rajdeep was in NDTV in Managing Editor post, he got 15 lakh per annum . And with due respect, the students that came out of IIM Ahemdabad bagged 1 Crore per annum. Isnt it hypocricy?
